Back again after another extended absence. I hope everyone is still around 365 and doing well! I hope to catch up with you all in time.
This pitiful shot was taken on Edisto Island, SC this past Monday. It was just a test shot to check my camera settings as Tom and I were waiting at the restaurant to meet up with fellow 365er, Sheri Peterson, and her husband, Don.They had flown from MN to Charleston for a wedding and we'd worked out a meet up at the tail end of their trip south. I was prepared to take a zillion photos to mark the occasion. I even had a brand new battery in my camera. :) As soon as Sheri walked across the parking lot and we gave each other a big hug I never thought about my camera again. I was so totally wrapped up in the moment getting to know Sheri and Don ~ all talk (and eating...and drinking) and no picture taking. It wasn't until I got back in the car to head home and was putting my camera back in my camera bag that it occurred to me that I didn't take a single photo. Unbelievable. I guess it was all about being with Sheri...it was a WONDERFUL get together. I felt like I'd known her all my life. She is totally delightful!!! So, the way I see it is we'll just have to plan another get together at some point and do some photo shooting. :)

Lovely to see you back Peggy Iv'e missed you ! It just shows it is the friendship that is as important as the photography on 365 !! How wonderful to get on so well with someone through this project, sounds a wonderful day you all had !

Well Peggy, technically I didn't take any photos either! My husband took one and the bartender took two! At least they were on my camera so I have the memory to share. @petersonsheri I'm hoping, after reading your blog about SC, that we'll have the opportunity in the not too distant future to spend some time together at Edisto....with lots of time for photography! Can't tell you how much Tom and I both enjoyed meeting you and Don!!
Hi Peggy - I thought I'd spotted a post from you & just remembered to go back and check! I thought you were going to say you went to hug Sheri and crushed your camera so it was a relief to hear that you just forgot!
@judithg I had my camera in the chair right next to me the entire time. Just got caught up in three of my favorite things ~ talking, eating and drinking and forgot all about my fourth favorite thing, photography. :)

@happypat Thanks, Pat...it's good to be back and on track! We did have a marvelous get together in South Carolina. I loved having the opportunity to meet Sheri face to face. This 365 community has the most wonderful and talented people!
