Some of you have, no doubt, been reading about the Gen. David Petraeus CIA career-ending scandal. The biographer/'other woman' in the center of the story happens to be a neighbor. In fact, I used this photo of her house in a post a few months ago. Now, as the story heats up, reporters are beginning to gather in front of the house hoping for a chance to get some comments. I feel so bad for the turmoil this situation has brought to lives of her adorable husband, Scott, and two young sons.
Three good things:
1. Lazy Sunday mornings
2. Dinner tonight with my brother, Jim, who will be in town on business
3. A totally wonderful family
What a tragedy for everyone involved. I have followed his career and he is an amazing tactical warrior, but not to smart in his personal life I guess.
That appears to me moss on the roof, not good for it at all.
@peggysirk Tell hubby, I am bringing a ladder and we will take care of that for them. They seem a little busy right now. My wife hates walking the neighborhood with me , because I will point out full gutters and down spouts that need repair and a host of other things. I want to take post it notes with me and leave messages for them...LOL
I have been following the news, but hadn't heard that she is married and with children... that makes even bigger this tragedy. How such intelligent people can be so stupid?! Thanks for sharing this shot.
@peggysirk And Harry who is exactly the same, the neighbours gutters drive him mad!!! This story is in the news here too but only to a minor degree. these extra marital affairs reak havoc all round ! Our reporter on the spot!!
There are always completely innocent victims involved in these scandals and nobody really understands what makes people behave the way they've done. I've had to have strong words with Nigel as he chuckled over the photos of the young attractive other woman and Mrs Petraeus - he was suitably shamefaced when I'd finished with him!!!
I wouldn't think dealing with clandestine activities in his job that they would think they could get away with anything! Such a sad thing for everybody touched by this scandal.
I did think of you when I read where she came from and was planning to ask if you knew the lady. Goodness, what excitement for the 'hood but, yes, what a tragedy for the family. @sarasdadandmom The moss is obviously the last thing on their minds at the moment so they're eventually going to wish they'd paid attention to it when they could.

so sad all round.
