in the Thunder Road Marathon. Tom and I went out to cheer on the marathon runners this morning. The course runs through our neighborhood and this point is approximately mile 13. These two runners were handily leading a field of about 900 runners at the halfway mark and were looking strong.
Three good things:
1. UGA football
2. Finally got around to taking my down coat to the cleaners. I really needed to take it in last year...so this is a very good thing. :)
3. Planning our Thanksgiving menu
This is a wonderful shot, Peggy, for exactly the same reasons @happypat listed. And what role do the blokes on the bikes have? Or can you compete by riding it as well? I like the fact that you got both runners and riders in this lovely shot.
@girlie Robin ~ The guys on the bikes are race monitors/marshals. They are there to make sure no one jumps in front of the pack from the sideline, report the progress of the racers to race coordinators, etc.
I just can't understand how anybody can run that far! Those guys on the right are cheating.... Glad won't be disgracing us with the coat any more ;0). Just ordered my Christmas meat - I think I'd like Thanksgiving - food without the commercial side!
