Happy Twelfth Day of Christmas by peggysirk

Happy Twelfth Day of Christmas

There seems to be some controversy over whether the twelfth day of Christmas is January 5 or 6. I've always considered it to be January 6, Epiphany. Anyway, I hope that everyone had a magical Christmas!!

Three good things:
1. Friends, Bev and Bob, came over last night for Twelfth Night drinks and brought me this little box of amazing chocolate truffles ~ so scrumptious!
2. I took the Christmas wreaths off the doors on this final day of the season. They were still as fresh and green as the tree...hated to toss them out.
3. Daughter, Molly, and son-in-law, Chad, have chosen William...Will...as the name for the new baby due in May. Love it! Middle name yet to be determined.
Well you are absolutely right on the date Peggy - definitely the 6th because we got married on 6th Jan and got brownie points with the vicar for choosing an Epiphany hymn (as with gladness men of old). I like William - good royal name and my dad's middle name. Talking of royal Molly must be running nck and neck with Kate? And granny has just given them a Georgian country mansion for weekend's with the baby - following suit Peggy?! My wreath was fresh as well but that's because it's not real!

we moved in to all those old epiphany hymns today. So traditional.

I have an explanation of the Epiphany from my Jan 6 photo. I love the message here with the pretty box.
