Harper came over for a visit this afternoon. After lunch, Granddaddy read her a nap time story. They were so cute together propped up in the bed and I thought I had a good shot here...but my camera settings were wrong and the lighting was bad and the focus was off, etc., etc., etc. So I did some editing and I'm going with this for today since it's all I have. :)
Three good things:
1. Since the Australian Open is over for another year I'm looking forward to catching up on missed sleep.
2. Shopping for a baby boy
3. Harper's art work on the fridge
It's very cute, just the same. I just love to see them being read to. I had the same experience with my little one-year-old granddaughter's birthday party the other day. Took so many 'cute' shots that didn't come out; mainly because the chief subject insisted on moving at all the wrong moments! Might post one, just the same. Weather is so bad I can't get out with the camera.
All wrong but I love this version it has a dream like quality so suited to a nap time. Beautiful eyes waiting for the next bit of the story although knowing little children she will know every word ...low betide if you skip a page!
It may not be what you were after, Peggy, but it's really wonderful. The color, the soft focus and those eyes! Those eyes! You know, we can't nail it everyday - even though we may want to. And . . . so what's this about shopping for a baby boy?
@barbsmith Barb ~ we are happily awaiting the arrival of our second grandchild! Harper's baby brother is due in May. You missed the announcement while you were on 365 hiatus...but I'm thrilled that you'll be around when little Will arrives on the scene. :)
Your picture of Harper here is darling!
