I hope this woman was receiving a good news text message. It would appear that she is dealing with enough challenges. It certainly puts things in perspective for me when I feel like complaining about my 'chemo' Mondays. Note to self: Shut up. (Sorry, Mom.) There were three things we weren't allowed to say as kids ~ shut up, stupid, and stink. :)
Three good things:
1. A good Super Bowl game
2. Elizabeth safely home in Atlanta
3. A cold February morning that makes going back to bed for a little while seem like a very good idea...I'll catch up on comments later :)
LOL...your mom sounds like my mom. Those 3 words were definitely forbidden! I love, love, love this candid --- it must take her all morning to get dressed to go outdoors. Thinking of you today and wish you well.
I don't know how you find them Peggy, but you certainly do a great job! It makes me feel pretty wimpy, and incredibly grateful. My mom had those words too!! Darn and fart were also on that list. It sure is a different "verbal" world now. I rarely go anywhere that I don't hear the "f" word fly out of some kids very casually. Our grandmothers would roll over in their graves! I hope you have a good Monday. Rest up and take good care of yourself. :)
What a wonderful candid, Peggy. Although she looks well wrapped up, each layer looks pretty thin; add the crutches and the heavy-looking backpack and life is obviously very tough. Great capture, though, using that phone. Hope you have a reasonably restful Monday.
It looks like everything she owns might be on her back or in her backpack. I can't imagine trying to get around on crutches while carrying a heavy load. Anyway, she does remind me to count my blessings.
Love your treatment of this Peggy...such detail & colour!!! I think she has her shopping in that back pack & just a rather eccentric lady, do homeless people have mobile phones? A real people picture & therefore a fave!!
