After a very rainy night and early morning, the sun came out just in time for the annual Easter egg hunt in the park. It was a gorgeous day and we all had a wonderful time. Harper was thrilled with her find. After she "found" a dozen or so eggs, she announced that she had found enough and was ready to go play on the playground.
Three good things:
1. Easter egg hunts with Harper
2. A beautiful Easter Saturday
3. Family
Awwww this takes me back to taking Rachel to DC when she was 18 months old. We went to a 'hunt' just like this - it was a lot of fun - there is always some degree of hiding over here (which means you are 'finding' until July!) Harper is a very good girl for not being greedy. We took Rachel to the Easter egg hunt at the White House and managed to persuade them that she was three so that we could have an egg from The Clintons!
Oh, how fun. I miss those days. Beautiful sweet collage. Am glad the weather turned out nice for you and I wish you and your family a very Happy Easter tomorrow!
Love your play-by-play collage! Egg hunting is serious business! I always managed to be sick for Easter Egg Hunts when I was little. Being the youngest of four I would have been too competitive and ruined it for others...well done, Harper!
@judithg How cool that Rachel took part in a traditional White House Easter Egg hunt! That always looks like so much fun for the kids...maybe not so much for the parents with the crowds and DC traffic. :)
@peggysirk It was lovely with the band playing 'In your Easter bonnet...' etc and lots of blossom out in the garden. The traffic on Easter Sunday was quite easy I seem to remember but we did get a hefty parking fine when doing a 'blossom trip' another day. How we passed off our 18 month old as 3 I've no idea - they did draw a line at 13 months and only just walking!!
Have a great Easter Sunday!!
