The incredibly beautiful spring weather has created a spectacular burst of spring color almost overnight. Well worth the wait for a late appearance. I've fallen behind (again) with my 365 project. Setting aside some time tonight to catch up with everyone.
Three good things:
1. My daughter, Elizabeth, in ATL was having lunch with a friend today and they noticed Amy Ray (Indigo Girls) sitting next to them. When they said hello to her she invited them to join her at her table. How cool!! I love the Indigo Girls. I think I was more excited than Elizabeth. :)
2. Making progress switching over warm weather wardrobe and putting winter things up. Getting rid of a lot of clothes in the process.
3. Masters golf tickets arrived in the mail today
I love these colours together Peggy and the fresh new pink contrasts beautifully with the old peeling paint. Lovely scene.
Lucky you being able to get your summer clothes out. We are still in coats and boots but they tell us the warmth is coming .......
Oh my word you got Masters Golf tickets .... I'm coming over!!!!!! My very favourite golf tournament & the main reason I for one keep up the Sky subscription!!!
Will be glued to the TV this weekend...who will your favourite be Peggy?
Lovely photo by the way & glad you have summer on it's way!
Beautiful mix of colours - we are soooo far behind! @happypat@peggysirk one of the hockey dads (the one who's buying the kit) successfully bid in a charity auction for Masters tickets as it's his son's birthday this weekend and he was going to take him for his present. He has given the tickets away and is spending the weekend in rainy Wakefield instead - I must say he kept his face remarkably cheerful when the boys went through as he must have been very torn!!
@judithg I know how the hockey dad feels, Judith...we have two badges/tickets for Thurs and Fri...I'm giving my Thurs ticket to daughter Elizabeth who will meet Tom in Augusta and giving Friday's tickets to daughter, Molly and son-in-law, Chad. I'll be watching golf on TV. :)
@peggysirk Ohhh. - but you love the golf Peggy!! Mind you you can see more action on TV - but still it would be worth it just to see the lovely course! A very generous mummy!
@judithg I've been so many times that it really isn't too painful to pass on this year. We have access to two family tickets every year, so I'll have more chances to go in the future. And you are so right, Augusta National is elegant...so beautiful!
@judithg@peggysirk First what a great guy your benefactor sounds Judith & also a generous mum Peggy ...will be lovely watching knowing your family having such a great time!! I loved it last year when Bubba won,so emotional !! I am routing for Rory of course or Justine Rose.. could have gone to Stirling looking at unis but thought would stay home & watch golf!!!
@happypat I just love the Masters too, Pat! My perennial favorite is Phil Mickelson. Also like Bubba Watson. And my dark horse favorite is always Freddie Couples.
Gorgeous! So looking forward to Spring blooms. Sooooo envious of Elizabeth. Wait 'til I tell Brooke. We both love the Indigo Girls. Saw them here a few years ago at a small outdoor venue in the pouring rain. Rain or shine, they put on a great concert.
