Spring looks particularly gorgeous this year. My very old dogwood tree has never looked better...the tree fertilizer spikes I put out last fall seemed to have given it a needed boost.
Three good things:
1. We are heading to ATL tomorrow for the weekend to celebrate daughter Elizabeth's official induction into LEAD Atlanta as one of Atlanta's 30 Top Young Professionals, as well as celebrating the start of her new business venture. Whose kid is this??? Needless to say, I'm one proud mama. :)
2. Tom and Elizabeth are currently enjoying a spectacular day on the golf course at the Masters tournament.
3. I think the rain/storms that will be moving into Augusta tonight will be all cleared out for tomorrow's round when son-in-law, Chad, will be at the tournament.
Just been hearing about the storm - good news tang it will be night-timer. Wow Elizabeth!!! No wonder you are proud - and only a whipper-snapper as well - move over Martha Lane Fox! And finally I love your dogwood. You just don't see them here (though last time I said that a few people said they have them - but I never see them) and they are soooo elegant.
No dogwoods here unless they are known by another name...look a bit like a clematis!! lovely star like flowers, might google it & see if we are able buy one!!! I believe Augusta has lots of dogwoods so I will look out!!
Oh what bliss to have such a talented daughter...does your heart good to be so proud Peggy!!! Must take after mum!!!
Have lovely weekend in Atlanta....not sure which part of USA that is, not too far from you I hope!
Lovely composition and beautiful flower - I don't think I have ever seen one of these before. Congratulations on having such a clever daughter. It must at least be slightly hereditary?! Enjoy being the proud Mum tomorrow.
Oh what a spectacular shot! I do miss ATL in the spring - I always used to go in April when the dogwoods were out - but found I was missing prime garden prep time here. Sigh. With this lousy weather I have missed both!!! Congrats on your daughter's accomplishments - have a wonderful trip and enjoy being "home" again!!!
