Harper met her two year old cousin, Arthur, for the first time this weekend. They had a great time together. I had about 90 seconds to get a shot of them sitting together...I clicked off about two dozen rapid fire shots...not one of them had them both smiling and looking in the same direction at the same time. This is as good as it got. I have a great deal of respect for children's portrait photographers. :)
I think you chose a perfect shot out of 2 dozen. You captured her shy demure look and his subtle love for his cousin. PS....tragic Dawgs loss yesterday :(
This is lovely though - there's a special cousin bond. My mum used to send us instructions to take a photo of all of her grandchildren together when my sister came to visit. It was like herding cats as there were 5 under 3 years at one point and we never got good photos - we had to hit the gin quite quickly. Even now it's really hard to get them all smiling properly!
