Full Wolf Moon by peggysirk

Full Wolf Moon

The Algonquin Native Americans of New England called January's full moon the 'Wolf Moon' as packs of hungry wolves in the cold, deep snow would howl outside the villages.

Three Good Things:
1. No cold, deep snow here...70°F/21°C today. Highly unusual, but a nice temporary break from winter.
2. Talking to neighbors while taking moon shots last night
3. Guest reading and lunch with granddaughter Harper at her school today. Listed this one yesterday, but it's worth a second mention. :)

You do the best moon photos - was thinking of them the other night when I couldn't get mine sharp!

@happypat I loved every minute of my time in Harper's class and at lunch. I adore that little girl and her brother.
You are right...much going on with presidential cabinet nominee hearings and inauguration preparations. Washington, no doubt, will be the destination of choice for protesters a week from today.

@judithg Thanks, Judith. This would have been clearer if I'd taken the time to set up my tripod. But I just wasn't feeling the effort. I threw in a few fake stars to draw attention away from the blur instead. :)
Harper was adorably thrilled and surprised!
