I usually only hear our neighborhood owl, but yesterday I felt 'someone' looking at me as I walked by. I looked up and had just enough time to get a quick (and unfocused) shot before he took off. Was so excited to catch a rare glimpse of him.
Three Good Things:
1. Venus and Serena
2. Friendly strangers
3. Registered the grandbuddies, Tom, and me to take part in the National Audubon Society's bird count project at Wing Haven Gardens and Bird Sanctuary next month. Should be fun/interesting...and free hot chocolate is included. :)
Those little ones will be so excited to do the bird survey, a very important job! Owls are so illusive, wonderful to actually get a photo of your very own neighbourhood bird.
Long ago (about 2000) I got a photo of two owl babies, but have never seen one out in nature since. I know the thrill, and am so glad you had your big opportunity! And those grandbuddies are SO fortunate to have you and Tom in their lives and to go bird watching with you!!!
