'Pink' Moon by peggysirk

'Pink' Moon

Last night's full moon was the first full moon of Spring. It's called Pink Moon because of the pink phlox in bloom this time of year. It's also known as the Sprouting Grass Moon, Egg Moon, and Fish Moon...all names given to the April full moon by early Native Americans. Easter is always on the Sunday following the first full moon of Spring. I love moon facts. :)

Three Good Things:
1. The first heirloom tomatoes from the farmers market
2. Early morning walks on a beautiful spring day
3. Hand painted Easter eggs
very pretty and so interesting to hear how the Native Americans related the moon to their way of life. Happy Easter to you and yours
