This little fledgling was apparently a victim of our most recent big rain storm. I have a feeling it was blown out of its nest by the wind or washed out by the downpour of rain. It found its way to a planter near my door. Fortunately the mama bird flew in to check on her baby while I was taking this photo. She started giving me all kinds of heck for being there. I took the hint and left. Last night when I went out to check on the little one it was gone...hopefully with mom leading the way.
