Tea olives have the most intoxicatingly beautiful fragrance of any shrub on the planet. I planted four when we moved to Charlotte - one close to each doorway and a fourth by the living room window. That way I can smell them the minute I open a door. They bloom twice a year...early spring and early autumn...my two favorite seasons.
Three Good Things:
1. All is right with the world when I smell tea olives
2. The fragrance reminds me of my grandmother's beautiful yard when I was growing up
3. A text from Tom saying he did 'really well' in the charity golf tournament he played in today
