It's the twelfth day of Christmas, the day I take down the wreaths and put the Christmas tree out on the curb for pick up. When I took down the side porch door wreath, I found three pecans that squirrels had tucked into it for safekeeping. I rescued the pecans and placed them on the porch railing in case a squirrel comes back to reclaim them. ☺
Three Good Things:
1. Hoping for a pandemic-free Christmas in 2022
2. The amount of cheese in the fridge is down to pre-Christmas levels.
3. The Frazer fir wreaths were getting a little dry, but held up remarkably well in the springlike weather through the holidays.
I'd be willing to bet that some little critter will find the pecans pretty quickly! Always a little sad to take down the decorations but also good to look forward to the new year.
Well what treasure you found….pecans are a class above acorns so I will be surprised if they aren’t claimed! Sad when the decorations come down but it’s time to move on.
