I really like your blog site and will sign up. Great catch and love how you captured those sticks creating such an artsy feel with the reflections. Fav.

So. This is a bit crazy sounding now that I've written it, but an hour after waking from an unusually philosophical dream about the binary nature of understanding, seeing the title of your photo, discovering your blog not through the obvious link here but from a Google result, reading your entry, and then reading a random paper from 1993 with the very same title (and which can be found here: https://sites.google.com/site/birthofmodernism/articles), I am blown away in a way I haven't been in decades. I'm going back to sleep now, but it's highly important that I return to this discussion with you.

THANK YOU. And the photo, by the way, is exactly on that cusp in a very cool and I daresay beautiful way.

Not sure I can even supply an opinion, be I will be thinking about this. The branches are poking up in a way that makes me thing there was a flood.

On much more mundane note, there's an Alfa Romeo ad that's been clogging my YouTube of late, which concludes: "Speed is measurable. Beauty is not." http://youtu.be/HkmfVsWunJ0

I think not, but they needn't be mutually exclusive. Eerie shot, Peter!

@squamloon Glad you enjoyed. Heidegger is an interesting place to start in reading Nietzsche. It also helps to have done a lot of reading in philosophy from Plato to Hegel and beyond.
