Caryn (@cmc1200) and I have challenged each other by consensus for this week's Get Pushed to produce a triptych which must contain an infrared shot, a photo taken with Kodak Ektar and one other. In this one the infrared has been channel changed from red to blue, otherwise photos are unedited.
Many thanks for all your views, comments and favs. It was wonderful to have shots in this weeks T20. Work has been busy and a number of other things have been taking up my time and worries lately. Unbelievably this week I have learnt I have arthritis in my jaw: who would have thought.
Cameras used this morning from top: Olympus EPL-1 at 9mm, Olympus E-300 with Hoya R72 filter at 18mm, and Lomo LC-A with Kodak Ektar 100.
Gorgeous triptych, I love the light and colors! Your style of photography is a thing of beauty, Peter. Never thought arthritis would affect the jaw. I hope they're able to alleviate the pain you feel.
Well I saw this one last and it is the best in my opinion! I also know know that you are in some pain! Go to bed and get some relief! Good night,Peter.
Gorgeous pictures and sorry to hear about the jaw. I have hd that for 15 years and the worst is that when I need dental work it hurts a lot to just hold my jaw open so they have to keep giving me a break and then I take longer for every procedure.
This is a beautiful triptych and all three are lovely in their own right. I have arthritis in my hips, knees and hands and that's painful enough. I can't imagine having it in the jaw. Excellent challenge and execution.
Wow--three great shots, and so interesting to compare cameras. Sorry about your arthritis. I have rheumatoid arthritis and have been amazed at how well it can be controlled with medicines--definitely not my mother's arthritis.
Fab Triptych. (I learned that word here on 365, so glad I used it at last!) All beautiful colours & shots. I recommend red wine for arthiritis. No particular reason, I just recommend wine for any ailment .... :)
superb push result. . .sorry about the nasty arthritis problem. I have problems with thumbs (piano injury) and knees. Now, here's a GOOFY old wive's (or whoever!) tale that I heard: try sleeping with a bar of Ivory soap under the fitted sheet on your bed close to the pain. I am not going to admit to having tried this bizarre idea, but my knees are feeling MUCH better. ;-> +F
Cool challenge and photos! I love them all, but I really like the top one. Is that the "film?" Colors are gorgeous, Peter. We have something in commen, Peter. I have arthritis in my jaw also. And it can be painful ... yes.
My doctor finally sent me to a dentist who made a splint for me to wear at night. Just a simple mouthpiece that helps the jaw to relax. And is not bothersome at all. Other than that, I take aspirin or advil (anti-inflammatory) as needed. Didn't want "heavy meds." @pandorasecho@peterdegraaff
These are gorgeous! I think I like the comp on the bottom one the best... Those lovely rocks in the smooth water :). The IR one looks like a lunar landscape or something... Very very cool!
My favorite is the top one, but they are all incredible. Your challenge actually scared me, though. I'm new to the "get pushed" challenges and if anyone asked me to do that, I'd probably fail miserably. I'm really sorry about the diagnosis. My mom has arthritis so I'm familiar with what that means.
Peter all three shots are excellent..i am mostly drawn to the top photo but i enjoy the infared too! Very interesting triptych! i must look into this more as this is a new word for me! lol..Great work!
Oh and i am sorry to hear about the arthritis..i know ..i have it to..but in my low spine..the pain can be terrible at times..massage/cranial sacral therapy, may help with the symptoms if you get a chance to try it ..i would.
@ellimae I was discussing the possibility of massage and acupressure with doctor. We also talked about physiotherapy. The pain has been quite bad over the last two week, but hoping it might settle down a bit over next few weeks.
@peterdegraaff I have seen miricals working with the craniosacral therapy in the jaw area and for migrane headaches..but be sure to get a knowledgeble therapist. Massage is great for almost anything but a broken bone! I practiced for 16 years before i had to retire from it..and was a RN before that for many years..when i compared the pills to the homeopathic therapies..massage and therapy seemed to provide the best results. I hope this flare up settles down for you and you get to feeling better soon! :)
