Thank you everyone for your well wishes both here and on facebook. My foot is in a boot rather than plaster, and hopefully will have mended for my trip to USA at the end of April. Will try to develop photos I was taking at Bombo tomorrow when I had accident and broke foot.
Taken with Fuji GSW690II on Fuji Velvia 50 and developed in Tetanal E6 Colortec 3 Bath Kit.
Hey Peter... how is the old foot feeling today? Looking forward to seeing those photos and whether they were worth the fall. Following again with my new account...
@amyspada followed now. The pain relief is working wonders which is giving it time to settle down. The first couple of days with breaks are the worst, particularly at night.
So sorry to hear about your broken foot! But I'm pretty sure it won't stop you! One so passionate about his craft and artistry will find a way to work with it rather than let it stop you from pursuing beauty through the camera lens. This shot, as well as the other, is stunning.
Those boots are a blessing! Glad to hear it's better even if annoying. I think this is one of my best ever favourites Peter, the colours, the rocks, the wave, the clouds......superb work.
The rock looks a bit like a castle - very medieval! The light is good to have turned the sea colour into various shades. Lovely picture, ouch for the foot! Hope it heals well and fast!
Peter, that is absolutely gorgeous! I love digital because you can take millions of photos in hope of getting the right one. However, there still something about film, this shot proves it.
Keep that leg elevated!
Hi Peter. Here is your "Get Pushed" challenge for this week: I'd like to see a beautiful CU portrait of someone -- just head and shoulders -- with low-key side lighting. Can be color or b&w, but the important thing is strong contrast of light and dark. Good luck!
@westcoastwallis I think you need to pay much more attention. @exposure4u nothing will be stopping me. I have booked a room with balcony view of Tetons and we are going floating down Snake River.
@chewyteeth processing E6 is not much harder than C41. Once I have filmin tanks which I do by blocking off light in walk in robe, I develop in kitchen. I use an old 4 sided toy crate as a bath to keep chemical at right temp. doing C41 is good practice for then taking on E6. The Velvia shots have been amazing with decent chemicals.
Fav - those colours are amazing, off to buy e6 kit because of you!! Got tons of slide film. Have an great time in USA, large format sounds wonderful. When do you go- can't wait to see the work :)
Sorry to hear about your foot! :(
beautiful photo here
Love the composition and colors of this! FAV
