Tangled roots and crimson tide

The bottom lake, the Broadwater (Myall Lakes National Park), is 22 kms upstream from the sea but is still brackish with the tide. The water looked crimson with the tannin that has flushed out of the mountain catchments into the lake with the summer rains.

Casuarina forest near White Bay where the roots are entangled by the water's edge.
Beautiful Shot - Very Nice!

Great capture! Love the texture and color in this! Glad it's NOT a real crimson tide though! That would NOT be good at all!

Have never seen tannin in the water like this . . actually, it's gorgeous. Seems to make the water glow. Wonderful photo and processing.
