Corks by philr

Corks

This is a fence in one of the little back alleys in Lewes (locally known as 'Twittens'). The owners of said fence are clearly in the habit of having a glass of wine or two of an evening and have discovered that the corks fit nicely into the gaps!
Well spotted! I have to smile at the neatness of the arrangement - which came first - the corks or the fence, I wonder.

I like this, very unusual. Have you thought of trying it in B&W?

@janturnbull I hope it was the fence first - would have been very difficult to build one around the corks after that much wine...

@simonpz Thanks - yes I did have a play with it in b&w but seemed a bit flat - I don't think it has enough contrast. In the end I decided I quite liked all the brown wood and cork colours.
