A house down our street had their front garden landscaped a year ago and had the bit by the road covered in - for some reason - artificial grass. Nature being what it is, real plants are starting to grow through the plastic, and today's strong winds had also covered it in petals and a single large daisy.

Wow! The astroturf experience is a strange one - so angular and sharp and uniform - I really felt the contrast between it and the soft flower - A FAV for me! I get sad when our front lawn is not at its best but excited when it fights the drought and the winter ( with the help of hubby ) to flourish again
@annied Thank you! I'm utterly puzzled as to why anyone needs plastic grass in the UK, where the ordinary sort grows so well. Guess they don't like having to cut it...
