Budget Rothko Exorcism

Many years ago I saw a number of Mark Rothko's paintings in an exhibition in London somewhere and was amazed at their visual impact (you don't get the same effect looking at photos of his work). Every day I walk past a boarded-up building and this particular panel has a large rectangular blob on it that, every time I see it, causes the thought "that looks a little bit like a Rothko painting" to pop into my mind. This is a (probably futile) attempt to exorcise the thought...

And it does look like a Rothko! Although his would probably be red and purple.

just googled Rothko (doing a bit of that this morning) - I think it is very him :)
