This is the name given to August's full moon by Farmer's Almanac as well as old Native American tribes. It is also called the Full Green Corn Moon, Wheat Cut Moon, Blueberry Moon and Moon when all things ripen. I'm not sure if I like any of those, but the rising moon did capture my attention as it was moving up in the sky so I grabbed the camera and took a few shots. This one turned out the best capturing the color and size of it as I was looking at it.
