You've all heard about locks of love where they attach the locks to the side of bridges in honor of love. These locks are in remembrance of people and are attached to an indoor bridge instead of an outdoor one. I think they will end up lasting a lot longer that way.
There must be quite a weight there. I hope your bridge is really sturdy. I know that the love locks are being removed in Rome and Venice because the railings are collapsing.
