I think I need to work on my moon shots!

Not a bad attempt though.
If you have manual settings on your camera i tend to use - shutter 1/60, aperture F8, ISO 100 which tend to work for me

At least you took a Moon shot, I saw a similar view the same night, with the clouds forming a lovely effect around the Moon like you have captured. I thought that it would make a lovely shot, but did not go and get the camera.
