We wanted to use the pond pump to empty the pond but the pipe wouldn't reach the drain. My son scoured the garage and placed a piece of piping, one of drainpipe and the plastic box from a fluorescent lighting tube to extend the pipe. It worked and saved so much work emptying it with buckets.
