Last night a local charity's warehouse was broken into and almost £2000 worth of Christmas gifts due to be distributed today to local children who otherwise might not wake up to a gift on Christmas Day were stolen. An appeal on social media led to my daughter and I purchasing gifts. Here we are entering the hall to deliver them as seen on our local BBC news program Look North. We also made our local paper who include a nice photo ( with our faces included) on their front page! Local folk rallied round and 700 children will receive gifts as a result of today's event!
