Tonight was the lunar eclipse! I know it only looks like a non-fancical crescent moon, but I promise you it wasn't!

It lasted about 3 hours. So glad I captured it (even though my effort was mediocre at best! I don't know how people do those crisp zoomed-in shots. I used my 250mm and I couldn't seem to get it quite right with that! Maybe my aperture was too wide?).

@mednez - I think this one ( http://365project.org/pocketmouse/365/2010-07-18) is better - can see more detail on the moon's surface. I did try cropping this one a bit closer, but it just wasn't the same. Maybe because it was an eclipse rather than a normal moon, and so the light wasn't optimal to show the detail? Either way, yes, we'll do some moon shots :)
