I can relate to what you're feeling. I made it five months into a PhD in aquatic ecology before bailing out to study photography. I won't presume to offer career advice though :)
Still a pretty shot! A million congrats on the website... popped over and gave you a little fb high five, too :o) No matter what direction your career takes you, never give up on your passion. Photography is my happy place... it's sometimes hard to find the time for balancing that and a full career. I have no doubt you will find success with your beautiful photography!

It's frustrating when decisions you've made haven't panned out the way you'd hoped. You'd definitely have a future in photography if you decided to pursue it :)
