A snap from our trip to Melbourne at the start of November - a fitting shot since today heralded the start of summer and didn't disappoint, with top temperatures of 40 degrees C (and I was working outside all day)!
These are giant gas plumes that line the Crown hotel along the Yarra River in Melbourne's CBD. There are about twelve of them along the river and every hour on the hour, they fire up and produce this spectacular display. And when they go off, you can feel the heat wave from hundreds of metres away!
