My mother died when I was pretty little, and today was the anniversary of her death. I won a free pack of Old Dutch chips from a local convenience store, and when I got there to claim it there was exactly one bag of barbecue left, sticking out as it was out of place. I don't remember a lot of things about my mum, but I actually remember her liking Old Dutch-- the brand wasn't commonly found in our part of Canada when she was alive, so it was always a big deal if my parents saw it here-- and my dad has told me she especially liked the barbecue flavour.
