The Black Bridge is sort of a landmark in my town. It's the last bridge of its type in the city, although apparently it was pretty typical of its own era. It's a single lane, pin-jointed, steel truss bridge and it's included in the Canadian Register of Historic Places. The Black Bridge has been allowing people to safely cross the Speed River (which is a little less than speedy at this time of year) since 1916.
