Galavanting on some backroads took us to the Canadian Drilling Rig Museum. No one was around when we were there, and it didn't seem like it had regular hours, but it's set up in such a way that you can wander around and see some things even when no one is there. Apparently this historic drilling rig from 1896 is fully functional!
