It's a sad day for many of us around the world, if not an entirely unexpected one.
Already we've had citizenship ceremonies here in Canada conducted using the words "His Majesty Charles the Third, King of Canada," and although we all knew the day would come, the changes over the next little while might be strange to hear, see, and speak.
The pin shown in this photo was Canada's official emblem for Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee celebrations earlier this year. It features seven pearls and seven maple leaves, in tribute to Her Majesty's seven decades of service to Canada.
