I took this photo of some barberries while walking on a trail by the river. It's funny, I've been seeing so many barberry shrubs around the trails lately, and I don't remember seeing them until fairly recently. They are an invasive species here, so perhaps they've been spreading in my area... or perhaps I just never noticed them before!
