Ontario is not the part of Canada that is known for its badlands. We've visited the much bigger, more famous badlands in the past, but this afternoon it was fun to go for a short hike to see Ontario's little patch of desert. Chris drives past it pretty often, but we'd never seen it in this "up close and personal" way before.
i've walked this part of the badlands when i started this project. when sometime last year we went past it, i found out that they had fenced it off and there was just a walkway for people to see and photograph it. which was sad though inevitable because people leaving garbage and having accidents trying to slide around. this would be just half an hour drive must be from where you are. do you live in mississauga or hamilton? maybe some time you can come to toronto and we can do a photo walkabout. fantastic shot. aces!
