The building in this shot is a former gristmill-- Dickson Mill. The current five-story limestone structure, built in 1844, replaced a wooden one that was destroyed by fire. The Riverbank Steakhouse occupied the building when I was little, and for the last 15 years or so it has been a fancy restaurant and event space called Cambridge Mill. It's quite popular for weddings. On the far side of the mill you can see the Parkhill Dam and a train bridge that crosses the river further upstream. On the close side is the Parkhill Road bridge. The ruins visible on the close side of the bridge are part of the ampitheatre at Mill Race Park-- another popular spot for weddings!
