I've always loved nutcrackers. I don't think Christopher has any particular affinity for them, but he is a fan of our Mounties. Last Christmas, my dad bought this RCMP Nutcracker for Chris. It's purely a display thing-- it's handmade, of porcelain, and it has a tiny mouth, so wouldn't at all be useful to actually crack nuts. So it's "chust for nice," as my Pennsylvania Dutch father would have said.
Anyway, I'm not sure why, but Chris asked me to take a picture of it and I really didn't have any interesting photo ops today... so I got the nutcracker out and photographed it and now this piece of Christmas decor is my daily photo for 24 July!
