I think this maybe the same dragonfly I took a picture earlier this month (July 3), but with a few gray spots :-). They can live as adult for about 2 months. It went back to the clematis, must be one of its favorite spots. The clematis are past their prime, too, but still looks very interesting. Am I suddenly feeling old and simply projecting? LOL! Best viewed large.
@hoosierflygirl@sbolden@ness50 the dragonfly was resting on a much higher spot this time and I am not tall enough to change the angle. It was also a challenge for me to spot it with macro settings. Glad it did not fly away too quickly.
