These are the tools that were used to tighten her screws on her halo. The torque wrenches are used and actually make a ratchet sound when they meet their required torque. The expression on Katy's face was priceless albeit a bit painful. She came through it like a true warrior.
Of course Katy wanted a shot for 365 of the doctor actually doing it but that was not allowed.
When we returned to the house, she actually walked inside from the driveway - great leap of progress.
Katy... Your strength has consistently been getting better so I am not a bit surprised by the walking. I'm sure you were very frustrated by not being able to have a photo of the doctor tightening your halo! Good lucky with the eyes tomorrow... and please be patient so you don't have to settle for less than perfect correction. 😉
Thanks for the series of photos documenting Katy's recovery...I didn't find them until today....still out here pulling and praying for her...carry on...... Jay Berg
Leave it to Katy to want a photo of this being done today. Intimidating looking tools. So glad it went well, Katy and hope you are ok tonight and in the coming days, without pain.
Oh, BIG sigh of relief there. I woke up Monday hoping that all would go well, and I'm so glad it was not a painful nightmare. Katy, sending you lots of love.
So happy the "tightening" exercise went well....with these mighty fearsome looking tools!!! And thrilled that you walked into the house......every day a little progress....i'm loving it!!!
Woohooo. Walking as well, great news. One of those tools looks like a sonic screwdriver. What is a sonic screwdriver I hear you say? Google Dr Who, all will be revealed :)
This was not posted by Katy. I did not get the stylus yet.
Great news on walking into the house. Steady progress, girl. :-)
