What's it like?

Katy wanted her friends on 365 to see what wearing a halo entails. It extends from the rod tips all the way to waist level. Comfortable? Not!
In a couple hours she goes in for her biweekly tightening of the screws bolted into her head. Not a fun time. Please groan four times for her today.
I will groan twelve instead. Brave, brave Katy. Hang in the lady, it will all work out, the body is an amazing healing machine! Thinking of you x

Oh, Katy.... So sorry you are having to go though this, but I'm sure with your spirit and all the prayers and good wishes, you will be out of this sooner rather than later. Hang in there....

It is a long tedious process in healing from such trauma, but it is a miracle what they can do. I know she cannot wait till it all comes off. Katy, your friends are routing for you.

So for at least today you officially have no screws loose! Did you get a shampoo?

Horrible! But hopefully all the love being sent your way will make you heal faster so you can get out of that thing!

I was wondering how long this was and how it looked. Definitely not comfortable but totally necessary. Katy, you will heal and this will be in the past. I sure hope today went ok for you. Bi-weekly, wow! How are you able to wash your hair? I gather this entire thing stays on until Katy is healed? I am so sorry for you, Katy. I wish I could reverse what happened but cannot. Thoughts are with you my friend today and every day. Thank you for your updates and photos. Hugs and take care.

Definitely it doesn't look comfy, but we all wish it will serve to heal and return Katy to her normalcy. I don't know how you do it, but it's great to see that the hair can be washed (I had been wondering). I keep you in my thoughts and prayers everyday, pushing for your soon recovery. xoxoxo

If all we are asked is to groan x 4 then I think we all can manage that. It must be so frustrating for you Katy. Get well soon eh?
