Bush ranger hunting

This fellow and his horse were part of the parade of the "running of the sheep" at Boorowa today and represented the time of the bush ranger. This fellow I presume was a "trap" or policeman of the time. Seen here resting in the shade and talking to the crowd.
Wonderful capture! I have been meaning/wanting to go to this for years....forgot all about it this year! bummer.....but I guess there's always next year :)

Nice candid. I wonder if the time period represented was the 1860's. He looks like a Union soldier during the Civil War (U.S.A.)

@randystreat looks like you might be right; Edward (Ned) Kelly (1855-1880), bushranger, was born in June 1855. This was the time of the bush ranger here in early Aus.
