Beach fishing by pusspup

Beach fishing

Not unlike a shot I posted a little while back (beach worming) these are the fisher folk putting the beach worms to work (as bait).
Unlike my last high key beach shot, this one was pushed & fuzzed in processing rather than in camera, and , big confession, I replaced the sky too.
Fabulous

reminiscent of our beach walk yesterday, except lovely white sand rather than black

How surprising. I must learn about this processing. What software would you recommend for beginners?

What an exceptional photo. Love the light, the soft tones and the slight blur.

You ended up with a dramatic sky. The editing is seamless. If I had been a fisher person in this scene, I'm not sure I would have stayed out there very long.

Terrific compositing. I wouldn’t have known if you didn’t say. Love the comp.

Cool capture and edit.

@lisasavill Hi Lisa, I guess I did this in photoshop. You could do a certain amount in light room. A lot of Topaz is free to play with and you can do some fun stuff.
@seacreature thanks Desi, nothing too complicated here. I increased exposure, added some motion blur and duplicated it then replaced the sky only to realise it was almost identical to the original sky that I had washed out!
