This is not a common apple but the fruit of a Chaenomeles also know as Cydonia or Pyrus.This one grows on a bonsai and yust felt of
because winter. They smell very sweet and the flowers in spring are
wonderful

Great photo! I love the light! Do you use these apples for anything? Reminds me of the Sloe berries in England that are ripe for picking and added to gin with almonds at this time of year!
