That is absolutely amazing. I have never seen anything like this before. That is such an interesting looking bloom! Don't be embarrassed for not recognizing the Maple tree with buds. I was trying to remember what kind of Maple tree it was, and I couldn't remember. I just know that it isn't a soft maple. I am terrible with plant and tree names!!
I love maples and my home is surrounded by sugar maple trees. All the floors in my (old) house are made from maple too! Thank you for that lovely "burst of Spring"!
