In the same town as my last 2 days pic you will find four (4 ) of this
`` Art Deco houses ``. ( Jugendstil ) They are build in 1910 by Belgium pilots ( river Scheld ) so they also know by : Belgium pilot houses
It's what I really enjoy when travelling abroad - the architecture of ordinary houses. I enjoy looking at that more than the cathedrals and castles etc. Thanks for the pic :-)
I love this style of architecture and interior design and have for almost 40 years! I have many books on this period and have a great deal of passion and respect for this style (right on the curve of Deco and Nouveau. I am surprised I have never seen photos of this type of building before. Thank you for the post!
Very interesting shot of this architecture, at first look they seem the same,but they are quite different, I am assuming they are what is called a duplex , a side by side two family houses.....Thanks for this short journey into the architecture of your Country

Yes. I used to collect antiques from that period and still have some. My sister owns (well she passed away so her family owns) a wonderful Lalique brooch of an enameled pansy with a carved moon stone of a baby's face in it. Too gorgeous for words.
