When I did this collage it revive old memories of a song I`ve play many times on the record-player of my grandmother when I was about 10 years old : ``The yellow rose of Texas `` ( Playing a record was quoit a ceremony at that time and only a few people own a gramophone )
If it was a Dutch song it have to be : `` the yellow Daffodils of Holland ``
Quite a coincidence, that you post this shot and your memory, As I Am leaving on a 4 Day motor trip to Livingston, Texas, (about 75 miles just north of Houston), where I have some family there, who I will be spending several week with, on my return home to Virginia Beach, Virginia..When I have flown to Texas, the pilot of the plane would always play The Yellow Rose of Texas, beats the Bells of Tennessee.... over the P/A/ system as the plane entered Texas airspace
Great collage of spring shots, I love the bright pops of yellow! The last time I saw daffodils was some 18 years ago, when we were living in Manchester (UK). The daffodils of Holland look so pretty.
