1001 .. A poem

Carvings in a tree .
This time only the poem is mine. I borrow the pic. from my son ( Taken in New York Central park ) as I think it match very well together.
I assign it to all the wonderful followers of the past they`ve completed but I did n`t have forgotten they where ,once
I forgot to congratulate on yesterday's picture..you reached 1000. so glad to see you're continuing with 1001.

Great pic from your son. I do always remember what happened to the people who carve their names in trees. Do the lovers marry? Do they stay together?

Fitting poem for the shot. I wonder if there was some reason this particular tree was carved or are there other trees just like it?

I did the wrote the poem first and was looking for a tree. Then our son came from a holiday from NY with this pic. So my search was over,
I`ve save it to be the 1000 . Now I`ve give myself a new challenge ( with thanks to Carren ) 1111. pic.`s.

Your poem is magical! How beautifully paired with that tree! I, too, have photographed a carved tree in our nearby park, but I wasn't as insightful as you were here...beautiful!

Glad you sent me here, Ferry. I was surprised to see I have faved it, and there, just above I'd commented! Makes your poem and words even more true...the "carvings" are on are heart when we've connected with someone...they won't be forgotten!
