Inner or ``slapers`` dike.

I`ve told before if there is for any reason build a new dike we still keep the old one in use. so trough the countryside you can drive over a lot of dikes with no water beside them . We call them slapers ( sleeping ) dikes. It`s often very difficult to get a good pic. of it to show as they are so one with the fields . I guest this one shows well as the farmhouse is build beside it.
